Character Overview
Pros
- Builds flexible teams that can be changed based on your desired reactions
- Combines mobility and long-ranged attacks
- Has one of the best kits for overworld exploration
- Deals damage in multiple Elements, which is useful against enemies with high RES in a specific Element
- Hot woman, sexy hat
Cons
- Deals primarily single-target damage before C2
- Hard to optimize due to high variability
- Her Charged Attacks may be clunky for some players
- Does not have synergy with many common buffers due to her split damage profile across Elements and inability to run with characters who are not Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo
Playstyles
On-Field DPS
Chasca serves as an on-field DPS. Her Skill allows her to fire enhanced Charged Attacks consisting of 6 Shells; up to 4 of these (or up to 5 at C1) are converted to the Elements of her teammates and deal enhanced damage. This allows her to apply the various Elements of her teammates, giving her multiple teams that can all specialize in different reactions of the Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo relationship.
Talents
Level and Talent Priority
Skill > Lv. 90 > Burst
The majority of Chasca’s damage comes from her Skill, so it is recommended to prioritize it, although her Burst should still be leveled for extra damage. As Chasca runs a lot of ATK% in her build and usually deals Transformative Reaction (such as Swirl, Overload, or Electro-Charged) damage in her teams, Level 90 is a good boost for her damage.
Talent Overview
Normal Attack | Phantom Feather Flurry
Talent Description
Normal Attack
Performs up to 4 consecutive shots with a bow.
Charged Attack
Performs a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG.
While aiming, mighty winds will accumulate on the arrowhead. A fully charged wind arrow will deal Anemo DMG.
Plunging Attack
Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, hitting opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Chasca’s Normal Attacks have no special mechanics and do not affect her Elemental Skill’s damage.
Elemental Skill | Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt
Talent Description
Chasca and the will residing in her weapon resonate, dealing Nightsoul-aligned AoE Anemo DMG.
After using this Skill, Chasca gains 80 Nightsoul points and enters the Nightsoul’s Blessing state.
Nightsoul’s Blessing: Chasca
Continually consume Nightsoul points. When Nightsoul points are fully depleted or the skill is used again, Chasca’s Nightsoul’s Blessing state will end. Her Nightsoul’s Blessing has the following traits:
- Mounts “Soulsniper: Ritual Staff,” increasing Chasca’s Movement SPD and interruption resistance. In this state, Chasca will continually consume Nightsoul points to remain airborne. When Sprinting or increasing height, extra Nightsoul points will be consumed.
- When using Normal or Charged Attacks, Tap or Hold to switch between using “Multitarget Fire” in different ways.
Multitarget Fire
Tap
Deal Nightsoul-aligned Anemo DMG to opponents in front. This DMG is considered Normal Attack DMG.
Hold
Enter Aiming Mode and choose a certain number of opponents within a certain range, before loading up to 6 Shadowhunt Shells based on the duration for which the skill was charged. When 6 Shells have been loaded or charging is stopped, these Shells will be fired at the chosen opponents in sequence.
Shadowhunt Shells
- Deal Nightsoul-aligned Anemo DMG, which is considered Charged Attack DMG.
- The 4th, 5th, and 6th Shells loaded into the cylinder will undergo Elemental Conversion based on the Elemental Types of the other characters in the party: For each Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro character in the party, one Shadowhunt Shell will randomly be Converted into a “Shining Shadowhunt Shell” of one of these corresponding Elemental Types, dealing Nightsoul-aligned DMG corresponding to that Elemental Type. This DMG is considered Charged Attack DMG.
- The Shells loaded into the cylinder are fired starting from the last Shadowhunt Shell to be loaded, in a “last in, first out” order.
Additionally, when Chasca is in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, Holding her Elemental Skill Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt will cause her to execute a Nightsoul-aligned Plunging Attack. Release the Elemental Skill to interrupt this Plunging Attack and maintain her airborne state. Should Chasca hit the ground with her Plunging Attack, her Nightsoul’s Blessing state will end.
Chasca enters the Nightsoul’s Blessing state with 80 Nightsoul points, hovering above the ground on her “Soulsniper: Ritual Staff” mount and gaining interruption resistance and Movement SPD. Chasca can tap or hold her Normal Attack to fire different forms of “Multitarget Fire.”
When using Tap, Chasca fires Nightsoul-aligned Anemo DMG to enemies in front, dealing a small amount of damage. Tap deals lower damage than Hold and is to be avoided.
When using Hold, Chasca loads up to 6 “Shadowhunt Shells” into her gun. These Shells are Anemo, but can convert to “Shining Shadowhunt Shells” based on the Elements of her teammates. The Shells are fired when all 6 are loaded or when letting go of Hold early. When the maximum of 6 Shells is reached, Chasca will automatically fire and start reloading again, meaning that the Hold button can be held the entire time. In this case, Chasca will fire 4 rounds of 6 Shells and one round of 3–4 Shells.
The Elements of Chasca’s Shells follow a pattern, with some Shells having innate randomness:
- Shell 1 is always Anemo.
- Shell 2 is always Anemo. Constellation 1 changes this to behave the same way as Shell 3.
- Shell 3 is converted based on her Ascension 1 Passive, Bullet Trick. If the conditions for “Spiritbinding Conversion” are met, this Shell’s Element will be randomly selected from the Elements of her teammates. Refer to Ascension 1 Passive for more information.
- Shells 4 / 5 / 6 are converted randomly based on her teammates’ Elements, with each of her teammates’ Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo Elements represented via a Shell. For example, if the team is Pyro / Pyro / Hydro, these Shells will be Pyro / Pyro / Hydro, with the order being random.

Figure 1. A hypothetical Chasca team used in the following example.
In this example, the teammates in Chasca’s team are Pyro / Hydro / Electro. As such, her Shells will be the following:
- Shell 1 is Anemo.
- Shell 2 is Anemo.
- Shell 3 is Pyro, Hydro, or Electro, with equal chance.
- Shells 4 / 5 / 6 are Pyro / Hydro / Electro in a random order (not necessarily the one depicted in the diagram). This order is not influenced by any factors such as teammate placement.

Figure 2. A possible order for Chasca’s Shells to come out (at C0).
This section talks about ICD, or how the Elements that react or are applied are determined. For more info on ICD, please check here.
Chasca’s Shells are fired on the principle of “last in, first out.” She loads them starting from Shell 1 to Shell 6, but fires them in reverse order. Chasca’s ICD is every other Shell, and her converted Shells do not share ICD: this means that at C0, Shells 6, 4, 2 will apply Elements; while at C1, Shells 6, 4, 2, 1 will apply their Elements (assuming that her A1 converts a Shell). Shell number here is defined by the order they load in with.
Chasca’s Shells are fired on the principle of “last in, first out.” She loads them starting from Shell 1 to Shell 6, but fires them in reverse order. Chasca’s Shining Shadowhunt Shell ICD is every other Shell, and her Shadowhunt Shell ICD is time-based. Shell number here is defined by the order they load in with. The Shells underlined and in bold are Shining Shadowhunt Shells.
No. of teammates that are Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo | C0 Chasca — Shells that apply their Element | C1 Chasca — Shells that apply their Element |
3 | 6, 4, 2 | 6, 4, 2, 1 |
2 | If A1 converts a Shell: 6, 4, 3 If A1 doesn’t convert a Shell: 6, 4 | 6, 4, 3 |
1 | 6, 5 | If A1 converts 2 Shells: 6, 5, 2 If A1 converts 1 or no Shells: 6, 5 |
In this example at C0, Shells 6, 4, 2 will react, hence the Electro Shell will apply Electro first, then the Pyro Shell will apply Pyro, and the Anemo Shell will apply Anemo, either Swirling or doing nothing.
At C1, the same will happen for Shells 6 and 4. However, Shell 2 will instead apply whatever Element it’s converted with, and Shell 1 will then apply Anemo, either Swirling or doing nothing.
It is important to note that Chasca’s Elemental Skill Shells do not have any form of AoE and will spread out evenly between all targets on screen. To target a specific enemy in such scenarios, it is important to make sure they are the only target on screen.
Elemental Burst | Soul Reaper’s Fatal Round
Talent Description
Chasca concentrates her will, firing a single “Galesplitting Soulseeker Shell” that deals Nightsoul-aligned AoE Anemo DMG. Afterward, the Galesplitting Soulseeker Shell will split into 6 Soulseeker Shells, which attack nearby opponents.
Soulseeker Shells
- Deal Nightsoul-aligned Anemo DMG.
- For each Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro character in the party, two Soulseeker Shells will undergo corresponding Elemental Conversions to become “Radiant Soulseeker Shells,” which deal Nightsoul-aligned Elemental DMG from a randomly selected one of the corresponding Elemental Types.
A powerful nuke. Fires 1 “Galesplitting Soulseeker Shell,” dealing AoE Anemo damage, followed by 6 “Soulseeker Shells” at nearby enemies. For each Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo character in the party, 2 of these Shells will convert to the corresponding Element, becoming “Radiant Soulseeker Shells” and doubling in damage. As such, with 3 teammates that are Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo, all 6 Shells would convert. Note that doubling up on Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo Elements is fine here.
The converted Shells hit enemies at random and every other Shell will apply its Element.
Ascension 1 Passive | Bullet Trick
Talent Description
When the Elemental Skill Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt’s Multitarget Fire is being charged, if there are party members who meet the Elemental Conversion Type requirements, gain the following effects based on the number of different eligible Elemental Types present:
- There is a 33.3%/66.7%/100% chance for each Type to trigger “Spiritbinding Conversion” and cause the 3rd Shadowhunt Shell loaded into the cylinder to be randomly converted into a Shining Shadowhunt Shell from one of the corresponding Elemental Types.
- Each Elemental Type will grant Chasca 1 stack of Spirit of the Radiant Shadow, increasing the DMG of Shining Shadowhunt Shell by 15%/35%/65%. This effect lasts until the current Multitarget Fire ends. Max 3 stacks.
At Constellation 0, Bullet Trick only affects the 3rd Shell, which is Anemo by default.
For each unique Element out of Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo present in the team, the 3rd Shell has a 33% / 67% / 100% to convert to a “Shining Shadowhunt Shell”, changing its Element and dealing significantly more damage. For example, a Pyro / Hydro / Electro team has a 100% Conversion chance, whereas a Pyro / Hydro / Hydro team has a 67% Conversion chance.
# of teammates with a unique type of Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo | Conversion Chance |
1 | 33% |
2 | 67% |
3 | 100% |
The actual Element of the 3rd Shell is completely random, chosen from the Elements (among Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo) present in the team. Having a duplicate Element on the team does not increase the chances of converting to that Element.
In addition, Chasca will gain stacks of “Spirit of the Radiant Shadow,” which give her 15% / 35% / 65% DMG Bonus (additive with other DMG% sources such as a Goblet) for each unique Element out of Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo present in her team.
Ascension 4 Passive | Intent to Cover
Talent Description
When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, Chasca will fire a “Burning Shadowhunt Shot” at a nearby opponent, dealing Nightsoul-aligned Anemo DMG equal to 150% of the Shadowhunt Shell DMG from her Elemental Skill Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt. If the party has Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro characters, the Burning Shadowhunt Shot will be converted to deal Nightsoul-aligned Elemental DMG of the corresponding Elemental Type equal to 150% of the DMG dealt by Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt’s Shining Shadowhunt Shells.
The DMG done in this way is considered Charged Attack DMG.
When Chasca’s teammates (including non-Natlan characters) trigger Nightsoul Bursts by dealing Elemental damage, Chasca fires a “Burning Shadowhunt Shot” at a nearby opponent. This shot is initially Anemo, but can be randomly converted to Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo depending on Chasca’s teammates’ Elements. “Burning Shadowhunt Shot” can affect 4pc Scroll setups, and this guide aims to provide rotations that work regardless of this Shot.
Night Realm’s Gift Passive | Everburning Heart
Talent Description
After her Nightsoul points are exhausted, Chasca will switch to consuming Phlogiston to maintain her Nightsoul’s Blessing.
While in an area with Phlogiston Mechanics within Natlan, she can use Nightsoul Transmission: Chasca. When the active character is in the air, the following will occur when switching to Chasca: Chasca will enter the Nightsoul’s Blessing state and gain 32 Nightsoul points. Nightsoul Transmission can be triggered once every 10s by your own team.
Night Realm’s Gift is a special passive for Natlan characters that improves overworld exploration within Natlan. After consuming all her Nightsoul points, Chasca starts consuming Phlogiston instead of exiting her hovering state, which essentially gives her an additional Stamina bar while in Natlan.
Additionally, when swapping to Chasca in an area with Phlogiston mechanics, she gains 32 Nightsoul points and immediately enters her Nightsoul state. This can happen every 10s at most.
Utility Passive | Mediation’s True Meaning
Talent Description
25 Phlogiston will be restored when your own party members defeat an opponent. This effect can trigger once every 12s.
This has no effect in Domains, Trounce Domains, or the Spiral Abyss.
Chasca also restores 25 Phlogiston when a party member defeats an opponent, with a cooldown of 12s, except in Domains, Trounce Domains or Spiral Abyss.

Constellations
Constellation 1 | Cylinder, the Restless Roulette
When triggering the Passive Talent “Bullet Trick”‘s “Spiritbinding Conversion,” the 2nd Shadowhunt Shell loaded into the cylinder will be additionally converted into a Shining Shadowhunt Shell.
The chance to trigger “Spiritbinding Conversion” is increased: If there are party members who meet the Elemental Conversion Type requirements, the chance to trigger “Spiritbinding Conversion” is increased by 33.3%, up to a maximum of 100%.
You must first unlock the Passive Talent “Bullet Trick.”
In addition, Chasca’s Nightsoul point and Phlogiston consumption in her Nightsoul’s Blessing state is decreased by 30% while out of combat.

Figure 3. A possible order for Chasca’s Shells to come out (at C1).
Allows the 2nd Shell to undergo Elemental Conversion to become a “Shining Shadowhunt Shell.” Additionally, the chance of Conversion on the 2nd and 3rd Shells is increased to 67% / 100% / 100% (from 33% / 67% / 100%) based on the number of unique Elements out of Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo in Chasca’s team.
This makes Chasca teams that slot in teammates who aren’t Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo even stronger. However, Chasca will still lose out on 30% DMG Bonus from her A1 “Spirit of the Radiant Shadow” due to having only 2 stacks.
Additionally, this Constellation reduces Chasca’s Nightsoul point and Phlogiston consumption in her Nightsoul’s Blessing state by 30% out of combat, increasing her overworld exploration range.
Constellation 2 | Muzzle, the Searing Smoke
When Chasca takes the field, she will obtain 1 stack of “Spirit of the Radiant Shadow” from the Passive Talent “Bullet Trick.” You must first unlock the Passive Talent “Bullet Trick” for this effect.
In addition, when the Shining Shadowhunt Shells from Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt’s Multitarget Fire hit opponents, they will deal AoE Elemental DMG of the corresponding Elemental Type of the Shining Shadowhunt Shells equal to 400% of Chasca’s ATK. This DMG is considered Charged Attack DMG. This effect can be triggered once each time Chasca uses Multitarget Fire.
Grants Chasca 1 stack of her “Spirit of the Radiant Shadow,” allowing her to have the full 3 stacks of DMG Bonus in teams with only 2 unique types of Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo, further enabling teams that double up on an Element.
In addition, this Constellation adds extra AoE damage during Chasca’s Skill, firing an additional AoE shot equal to 400% of her ATK with every round during her Elemental Skill. This effectively solves Chasca’s issue of her damage falling off in large multi-target scenarios. This AoE shot also applies an Element, enabling more reactions. With the extra instance of AoE damage at C2, Chasca’s ideal combos change in multi-target scenarios, as shown in the Combos section.
Constellation 3 | Reins, Her Careful Control
Increases the Level of Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
As Chasca does the majority of her damage with her Skill, this Talent Level increase is significant.
Constellation 4 | Sparks, the Sudden Shot
When the Radiant Soulseeker Shells from Soul Reaper’s Fatal Round hit opponents, they will restore 1.5 Elemental Energy to Chasca, and deal AoE Elemental DMG of the corresponding Elemental Type of the Radiant Soulseeker Shells equal to 400% of Chasca’s ATK. This DMG is considered Charged Attack DMG.
The aforementioned corresponding elemental AoE DMG effect can be triggered once each time Chasca uses Soul Reaper’s Fatal Round.
Restores up to 9 Energy to Chasca per Burst use, but this usually ends up not increasing Burst frequency as Chasca typically Bursts at the end of the rotation, resulting in the standard Burst frequency of once every 2 rotations.
It also additionally fires another AoE damage instance similar to her Constellation 2. A minor damage increase.
Constellation 5 | Brim, the Sandshadow’s Silhouette
Increases the Level of Soul Reaper’s Fatal Round by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Strengthens her Burst, but as her Burst is not a major portion of her damage, it is a minor damage increase overall.
Constellation 6 | Showdown, the Glory of Battle
Chasca’s Multitarget Fire charge time is decreased, and after the Passive Talent “Bullet Trick”‘s “Spiritbinding Conversion” is triggered, Chasca will gain the “Fatal Rounds” state: For the next 3s, the next time Chasca uses Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt’s Multitarget Fire, the shots will finish charging instantly, and the CRIT DMG of that instance of Multitarget Fire’s Shadowhunt Shells and Shining Shadowhunt Shells increases by 120%. 1 “Fatal Rounds” effect can be gained once every 3s.
You must first unlock the Passive Talent “Bullet Trick” to gain access to the above effect.
When Chasca fires a round of Shells from her Elemental Skill, she obtains the “Fatal Rounds” state for 3s, which allows her to fire off a full round of 6 Shells instantly with an additional 120% CRIT DMG.
Since the cooldown of Fatal Rounds is 3s, Chasca’s optimal firing pattern changes to allow for as many C6 procs as possible, which is approximately every 8 Shells (or 6 if only charging to 2 Shells). So, when constantly holding down, Chasca will only use her C6 2 times, charging 2 shots of 6 Shells between each C6 proc. This is not optimal for C6 procs, since the time to charge 2 shots of 6 Shells is more than 3s and you are charging more than 8 Shells. See the Combos section for how to maximize Chasca’s damage at C6.
Ultimately, this Constellation is a major damage increase and one of the highest increases seen so far. This allows Chasca to fire quicker, allowing her to react more and apply Elements faster. The additional CRIT DMG is a sizable DPS increase as well, and it allows Chasca to properly front-load damage and improve her speedrunning capabilities.
Combos
Combo Notation
- C[ ] = The amount of Shells charged per shot fired in Chasca’s full combo
- E = Elemental Skill
- Q = Elemental Burst
- [ # ] = The number of Shells Chasca should charge before firing the shot in Skill
C0 Combos
Normal combo: E C[6 6 6 6 4] | Chasca can fire 4 full Charged Attacks and an additional Charged Attack with 3–4 Shells before running out of Nightsoul points. |
When Q is available: E C[6 6 6 6] Q | This combo allows Chasca to fire her Burst while in Nightsoul’s Blessing state. Since her Burst snapshots her stats upon casting, this allows Chasca to retain any relevant buffs that might wear off otherwise, including Bennett’s Burst. |
C2 AoE Combos
In single-target scenarios, Chasca should use her C0 combos.
Normal AoE combo: E C[2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2] | Instead of charging 6 Shells, players can choose to charge only 2 and fire them as soon as possible. The more targets hit by Chasca’s C2, the stronger this combo is compared to her normal one. However, it can be difficult to pull this off consistently and get all 10 rounds out. |
When Q is available: E C[2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2] Q | This combo allows Chasca to fire her Burst while in Nightsoul’s Blessing state, although execution can be tight. Since her Burst snapshots her stats upon casting, this allows Chasca to retain any relevant buffs that might wear off otherwise, including Bennett’s Burst. |
C6 Combos
These combos generally require animation canceling and can be hard to pull off, resulting in the loss of the final C6 trigger if not executed well. However, not performing them perfectly is generally not much worse than weaker combos that are easier to perform. None of these combos include Chasca’s Burst, as at C6 it is only recommended to Burst when you have extra time or to finish off an enemy at the end of your combo.
Normal combos: E C[2 C6 4 4 C6 4 4 C6 4 4 C6] E C[2 C6 2 6 C6 2 6 C6 2 6 C6] | Assuming continuous shooting, Chasca gets a C6 trigger every 8 Shells she charges. Both of these combos aim to maximize her C6 triggers, and they function very similarly. |
AoE combo: E C[2 C6 2 2 2 C6 2 2 2 C6 2 2 2 C6] | This combo is used to force more C2 triggers from Chasca for stronger AoE performance. There isn’t a requirement to charge 8 Shells per C6 trigger here as loading the 1st Shell takes more time than subsequent ones. |
Xilonen combo: E C[2 C6 3 5 C6 3 5 C6 3 5 C6] | When a C6 Chasca is paired with Xilonen, the Shell combination is changed to force more reactions out of Chasca, as the 4th loaded Shell will always be Anemo. |
Artifacts
ER Requirements
Calcs for ER requirements can be found here (last updated for Version 5.1).
Chasca should not build the ER% to Burst every rotation. She should only use her Burst when available.
Burst Every Other Rotation | Burst Every Rotation | |
Solo Anemo | 100–110% | 165–195% |
- Calculations assume that the following characters hold Favonius: Furina, Xiangling, Xilonen, Rosaria, and Layla
- Removing a Favonius proc does not affect ER requirements for Bursting every other rotation, except in very low-Energy teams
- In very high-Energy teams (ones with multiple Favonius holders and/or large sources of Flat Energy), it may be feasible to Burst every rotation on Chasca
Use the Energy Recharge Calculator to determine exact requirements for your team and rotation. For more details on how Favonius weapons will affect your team, please use Ac1d’s Favonius Mastersheet.
Artifact Stats
![]() Sands | ![]() Goblet | ![]() Circlet |
ATK% | ATK% > DMG% | CRIT |
Stat Priority: CRIT > ATK% > EM > ER%
An EM Sands or Goblet is worse than ATK% even in Melt or Vape teams.
In teams with 2 characters of the same Element, a DMG% Goblet can perform similar to or better than an ATK% Goblet on average. However, using an ATK% Goblet is more consistent with Chasca’s RNG Elemental damage.
Artifact Sets
![]() 4pc Obsidian Codex | Chasca’s best set, providing 15% Universal DMG Bonus and 40% CRIT Rate during her Skill. |
![]() 4pc Marechaussee Hunter | Slightly worse than 4pc Codex in teams with Furina. |
![]() 4pc Shimenawa’s Reminiscence | Gives up using Chasca’s Burst for a 50% DMG Bonus buff after using her Skill. One of Chasca’s options, but still far behind 4pc Codex. |
![]() 4pc Viridescent Venerer | Chasca’s Anemo damage can Swirl and cause RES Shred with this set, buffing both her and her team’s damage. However, Chasca finds it hard to Swirl all Elements of her team. |
![]() 4pc Wanderer’s Troupe, 4pc Desert Pavilion Chronicle, 2pc Mixed Sets (ATK% / ATK% / MH / Codex) | Viable alternatives before obtaining a stronger 4pc set, although usually worse than any of the above options. |
Weapons
![]() 5★ Astral Vulture’s Crimson Plumage | Chasca’s signature and BiS weapon. Chasca can easily max its passive in her teams. |
![]() Other 5-Star CRIT Weapons | 5-star CRIT weapons are strong options, with the First Great Magic and Aqua Simulacra being notable. CRIT Rate weapons perform worse as it is easy to overcap due to the CRIT Rate Chasca gets from 4pc Codex or Marechaussee Hunter and her Ascension stat. |
![]() 4★ Flower-Wreathed Feathers | This banner-exclusive weapon is a very strong option for Chasca, but refinements are hard to acquire. |
![]() 5★ Amos’ Bow | While Chasca is able to benefit from the Charged Attack DMG Bonus of the first part of this weapon’s passive, she is not able to get any stacks from the second part, making this not a very good weapon for her despite being a 5-star. It performs about similarly to craftables and R1 Flower-Wreathed Feathers. |
![]() 4★ Chain Breaker, Hamayumi, Song of Stillness | These craftable weapons are strong options for Chasca when their passives are fulfilled. Chain Breaker and Hamayumi have the least-conditional passives and are Chasca’s best craftables when Song of Stillness cannot be enabled. Song of Stillness’s passive can trigger on overheals. The passive may be tricky to activate on a healer such as Bennett who does not heal past a certain amount of HP. |

Teambuilding
- Due to her Conversion mechanics, Chasca can run in a wide variety of teams focused on different reactions.
- Although Chasca’s kit appears to want as many different Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo teammates as possible, even at C0 it is recommended to run synergistic characters over characters who simply have different Elements.
- Chasca’s non-Anemo damage greatly exceeds her Anemo damage. It is not recommended to build Anemo damage-focused teams.
Overvape

These teams allow Chasca to react frequently with Vaporize, Overloaded, Electro-Charged, and Swirl interactions between all three Elements. Bennett and Furina are by far the best Pyro and Hydro options due to their strong buffs and Furina’s personal damage and off-field application. The Electro character should provide buffs or off-field application to support Chasca’s damage.
Notable Teammates
![]() Bennett | Bennett provides a hefty ATK buff and allows Chasca to convert her Shells to Pyro. |
![]() Furina | Furina provides consistent off-field Hydro application, a strong DMG% buff, and off-field damage. She is by far the strongest Hydro character for this archetype. |
![]() Iansan | Iansan provides 4pc Scroll and strong ATK buffs, provided the on-fielder moves around. This is a non-issue for Chasca, who can simultaneously move and load Shells. Although not providing off-field application, Iansan’s buffs more than make up for this. |
Electro Teammates
Electro characters can provide off-field Electro application for more Overloaded reactions, but that is usually secondary to their personal damage or buffs. Iansan and Ororon can both hold 4pc Scroll, with Iansan giving additional buffs from her kit. Fischl brings strong personal damage and Sara brings a short-lasting ATK buff. Ineffa opens up the Lunar-Charged reaction, which adds high team damage alongside a shield and EM buff for Chasca.
Hydro Alternatives
Hydro options for Chasca are slim pickings. If you cannot use Furina and still want to play this archetype, here are your alternatives. Mona is the only option that provides off-field Hydro application and buffing, but her Energy issues make her difficult to recommend. Yelan and Barbara both provide comparable buffs. It is highly recommended to play a different archetype if you cannot use Furina.
Pyro Alternatives
Bennett is an incredibly strong and easy-to-use option for Chasca, who does not usually care about his field restriction. However, if you cannot use Bennett and still want to play this archetype, here are your alternatives. Chevreuse at C6 provides a strong 60% Pyro and Electro DMG buff, and can at times compete with Bennett. Pyro Traveler and Mavuika provide DMG% buffs through their kits and 4pc Scroll, while Mavuika also brings good damage through the initial hit of her Elemental Burst.
Example Teams
This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

Iansan is able to offer Chasca a strong ATK buff provided Chasca is moving, which is easy to do. Even while trying to stay inside Bennett’s field, Chasca can circle around to maintain the buff. Iansan also brings 4pc Scroll to further buff Chasca’s damage, with Furina and Bennett providing their own buffs. Note that Pyro Scroll will be unreliable without C6 Bennett.
Sample Rotation
Furina ED Q > Bennett EQ (N1)¹ > Iansan E N1 Q > Chasca combo > Bennett E
¹Improves Pyro Scroll consistency if Bennett is C6.

This team has fewer buffs than the above team, but better AoE damage from Ororon.
Sample Rotation
Furina ED Q > Bennett Q E > Ororon Q E > Chasca combo > Bennett E

Fischl does not provide buffs but instead brings strong personal damage.
Sample Rotation
Furina ED Q > Bennett EQ > Fischl N2 E/Q > Chasca combo > Bennett E

This composition enables Chasca to Vaporize her Pyro or Hydro Shells. Bennett is recommended due to his high ATK buff and for allowing Chasca to convert her Shells to Pyro. Depending on the Hydro character’s application, it may be difficult to Vaporize the Hydro Shell. This is usually not a problem, as it often means that Chasca’s Pyro Shells will then Vaporize.
Although Chasca will lose the guarantee on an Elemental Shell Conversion from her Bullet Trick passive, this Shell would not have reacted anyway due to her ICD, and the Shells that do react more than make up for this loss. However, it is not recommended to run two Hydro characters, especially if they have application, as doing so would usually result in a low amount of reactions for both Chasca and her teammates, and there is a distinct lack of good Hydro options.
Notable Teammates
![]() Bennett | Bennett provides a hefty ATK buff and allows Chasca to convert her Shells to Pyro. |
![]() Furina | Furina provides consistent off-field Hydro application, a strong DMG% buff, and off-field damage. She is by far the strongest Hydro character for this team. |
![]() Mavuika | Mavuika provides off-field Pyro application, a DMG% buff to Chasca, and a strong front-loaded Burst damage that can also Vaporize. Mavuika can also hold 4pc Scroll, buffing Pyro and Hydro DMG by 40%. |
Pyro Teammates
Pyro characters allow Chasca to convert her Shells to Pyro and react accordingly. Depending on how many Hydro teammates there are and each teammate’s individual off-field application, the goal of the team can shift between attempting to Vaporize Chasca’s Pyro or Hydro Shells. As long as the Pyro teammates offer buffing or personal damage, they will be a good option for Chasca.
Hydro Teammates
Since Chasca does not use Normal Attacks, Xingqiu, Yelan, and C6 Candace’s effects can not be triggered. Furina and Mona are the only Hydro options that provide some off-field application and buffing. Furina is able to do some damage through Vaporize herself if there is off-field Pyro application. Yelan has subpar synergy with Chasca but is able to still provide a Universal DMG% buff. Running two Hydro characters is not recommended.
Other Teammates
These characters are not Pyro / Hydro / Electro / Cryo options, but their buffing and utility may let you use them despite Chasca’s benefits from running the aforementioned Elements. These characters become more viable with Chasca’s C1 and C2, but still fall behind her best options.
Example Teams
This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

Because of the abundance of off-field application from Furina and a Pyro character, Chasca’s Shells will often have varying Vaporizes: sometimes her Pyro Shells will trigger Vaporize while other times her Hydro Shells will. Mavuika and Pyro Traveler provide 40% Pyro and Hydro DMG via 4pc Scroll. Xiangling and Mavuika both contribute strong damage.
Sample Rotation (Mavuika)
Furina ED Q > Mavuika E > Bennett EQ > Mavuika Q > Chasca combo
Sample Rotation (Mavuika — With Vaporized Burst)
Furina ED Q > Bennett Q¹ > Mavuika Q E > Chasca combo > Bennett E
¹Waiting slightly after Bennett Q is optional to further ensure Mavuika Vaporizes.
Sample Rotation (Xiangling)
Furina ED Q > Bennett Q E > Xiangling Q E > Chasca combo > Bennett E > Xiangling N2
Sample Rotation (Pyro Traveler)
Furina ED Q > Pyro Traveler E Q > Bennett EQ > Chasca combo > Bennett E

Chasca will consistently Vaporize her Pyro attacks. The last character provides both RES Shred and DMG%. Bennett’s C6 Pyro Infusion allows quick Pyro application from Normal Attacks, enabling easier Pyro Scroll and VV setups.
Sample Rotation (Xilonen)
Xilonen E N2 Q > Furina ED¹ Q > Bennett EQ (N1)² > Xilonen (N1)² E N2 > Chasca E combo
¹In the first rotation, use Furina’s Skill before Xilonen to guarantee a Hydro Scroll.
²Improves Pyro Scroll consistency if Bennett is C6.
Sample Rotation (Kazuha)
Furina ED Q > Kazuha Q > Bennett EQ (N1)¹ > Kazuha (N1)¹ tEP > Chasca E combo > Kazuha tEP
¹Improves Pyro VV consistency if Bennett is C6.

An accessible Vaporize team. Pyro Traveler is able to hold 4pc Scroll and buff 40% Pyro and Hydro DMG. As Scroll works off-field, Mona can apply Hydro and let Pyro Traveler react while off-field, although Mona’s high ER needs mean she will often need to hold Favonius Codex.

Pyro Traveler E Q > Bennett EQ > Mona EQ > Chasca E combo
Melt

In Chasca’s Melt teams, she utilizes Cryo or Pyro auras from teammates to amplify her damage with reactions. While a C0 Chasca will lose the guaranteed Elemental Shell Conversion from her Bullet Trick passive, this Shell would not have reacted anyway due to her ICD, and the Shells that do react more than make up for this loss, making this a solid archetype for Chasca at any investment.
Notable Teammates
![]() Bennett | Providing a strong ATK buff and allowing Chasca to convert her Shells to Pyro without conflicting with any potential Cryo auras (through off-field application), Bennett is a must-have for Chasca’s Melt teams. |
![]() Citlali | Citlali brings off-field Cryo application, 4pc Scroll buffs, and Pyro RES Shred from her kit. This combination allows Chasca to Melt her Pyro Shells and receive extra buffs to them, making them especially powerful. |
![]() Escoffier | Although she prefers teams with only Cryo and Hydro characters, Escoffier is a strong off-field DPS that consolidates the healing role with Cryo application and Shells for Chasca. She is a great option for Chasca’s Melt teams. |
Pyro Teammates
Bennett is practically a requirement for Chasca’s Melt teams, and a second Pyro is optional. Having a second Pyro often makes the aura more unstable or Pyro-dominant, which means Chasca’s Cryo Shells are more likely to Melt.
Mavuika provides strong personal damage and buffs through her Burst, while Chasca provides Nightsoul points back for Mavuika. Pyro Traveler can hold 4pc Scroll and has minimal Pyro application to conflict with Cryo auras, making him an unexpectedly strong option that enables more potential Melts. Xiangling has strong off-field damage and Pyro application.
Cryo Teammates
Cryo characters apply off-field Cryo for Chasca to Melt, while also converting Shells to Cryo. Citlali provides strong buffs and Cryo application, and Rosaria also provides significant Cryo application and has her own damage. Shenhe, Diona, and Layla can all be used to buff Chasca’s damage further. Other Cryo characters with off-field application can be substituted where necessary, but are worse.

In this team, it is usually the Pyro Shells that trigger Melt. This makes Pyro Traveler a uniquely good option due to their low Pyro application and slight DMG% buff at C1, and converting a Shell to Pyro enables the potential for more Melts per round from Chasca. Rosaria has a similar amount of Cryo application to Escoffier, although her damage is AoE and stationary, while Escoffier’s single-target damage tracks enemies. The rotations listed enable Pyro Traveler to trigger Cryo and Pyro Scroll, while using their Tap Skill to minimize their Pyro application.
Sample Rotation (Rosaria)
Rosaria E > Pyro Traveler tE Q > Bennett EQ > Rosaria Q E > Chasca combo
Sample Rotation (Escoffier)
Escoffier E(Q)¹ > Pyro Traveler tE Q > Bennett EQ > Chasca combo
¹Use when available.

Here it is usually the Cryo Shells that trigger Melt, but this can vary (especially with Mavuika). This team differs from the above option because you can’t Melt as many Shells and the reactions are weaker, but in return it allows you to run other damage dealers in the form of Mavuika or Xiangling. Citlali can hold TTDS to buff Mavuika’s high front-loaded Burst damage.
Sample Rotation (Mavuika)
Mavuika E > Bennett EQ > Citlali EQ (N1)¹ > Mavuika Q > Chasca combo
¹An N1 on Citlali may be necessary to ensure Mavuika will Melt her Burst.
Sample Rotation (Xiangling)
Bennett E > Xiangling E > Citlali EQ > Bennett Q E > Xiangling Q > Chasca E combo

Chasca will Melt Pyro Shells in this team, but this will sometimes be infrequent and is dependent on Shell RNG. Citlali provides strong buffs to these Pyro Shells, with Rosaria and Escoffier providing off-field Cryo application and damage, and Shenhe providing buffs to Cryo Shells.
If you have C6 Bennett, it is often optimal to add an N1 after his Burst to ensure Citiali can react. Additionally, have Bennett catch the particles of his second E to avoid cooldown issues.
Sample Rotation (Rosaria)
Rosaria EQ > Bennett EQ > Citlali EQ > Chasca combo > Bennett E
Sample Rotation (Escoffier)
Escoffier E(Q)¹ > Bennett EQ > Citlali EQ > Chasca combo > Bennett E
¹Use when available.
Sample Rotation (Shenhe)
Shenhe hE(Q)¹ > Bennett EQ > Citlali EQ > Chasca combo > Bennett E
¹Use when available.
Freeze and Vapemelt

For other DPS units, adding Bennett to a Freeze team does not change the reaction dynamics. For Chasca, adding Bennett to a Freeze team will invariably turn it into a Vapemelt team, where Chasca’s Pyro Shells will Vaporize or Melt. Therefore, Freeze and Vapemelt are combined as Bennett is incredibly strong for Chasca and a worthwhile option in any team for her.
Notable Teammates
![]() Bennett | Provides a strong ATK buff and changes the team dynamic from Freeze to Vapemelt, which is often only beneficial to teams. |
![]() Citlali | Citlali brings off-field Cryo application, 4pc Scroll buffs, and Hydro and Pyro RES Shred from her kit. She is a powerful option in both Freeze and Vapemelt. |
![]() Escoffier | Although she prefers teams with only Cryo and Hydro characters, Escoffier is a strong off-field DPS that consolidates sustain with Cryo application and Shells for Chasca. She is a great option for Chasca’s teams and performs better the more Cryo and Hydro characters you bring. |
![]() Furina | Furina provides consistent off-field Hydro application, a strong DMG% buff, and off-field damage. She is by far the strongest Hydro character for this team. |
Cryo Teammates
Cryo characters bring off-field Cryo application and convert Chasca’s Shells to Cryo. They also bring buffs or damage on top of this, with Citlali, Shenhe, and Layla mainly providing buffs and Escoffier and Shenhe mainly providing damage.

This Vapemelt team utilizes Furina and Bennett’s strong buffs with either more buffs from Citlali or strong personal damage from Escoffier. It is considered Vapemelt because in a lot of situations, especially against unfreezable enemies, it’s unpredictable whether Chasca’s Pyro Shells will Melt or Vaporize.
Sample Rotation (Citlali)
Furina ED Q > Bennett EQ (N1)¹ > Citlali EQ > Chasca combo > Bennett E
¹Improves Pyro Scroll consistency if Bennett is C6.
Sample Rotation (Escoffier)
Furina ED Q > Escoffier E(Q)¹ > Bennett EQ > Chasca combo > Bennett E
¹Use when available.

This is a comfortable Freeze team that relies on Escoffier’s personal damage and healing to enable Furina’s damage and buffs. Citlali and Shenhe both further buff the team’s damage.
Sample Rotation (Citlali)
Furina ED Q > Citlali E > Escoffier EQ > Chasca combo
Sample Rotation (Shenhe)
Furina ED Q > Escoffier EQ > Shenhe hE(Q)¹ > Chasca combo
¹Use when available.

This is a more accessible Vapemelt team, although the reaction will usually be Melt due to Barbara’s low application. Bennett is especially recommended when not running the more premium Hydro or Cryo options, although he can be replaced with Pyro Traveler for worse damage. Layla brings a shield and buffs when C4, and Barbara brings the weapon TTDS and her C2 buff.
Sample Rotation
Layla E Q > Bennett QE > Barbara E¹ > Chasca combo > Bennett E
¹Use every other rotation, but swap to her every rotation if holding TTDS.
