Playstyles
Off-Field or Quickswap Support
Kazuha is primarily an off-field or quickswap support who buffs his Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo (PHEC) teammates through his A4 Passive and 4pc Viridescent Venerer RES Shred. Kazuha can use his Skill or Burst to activate both buffs, which allows him to split his field time in certain teams.
Quickswap DPS (4pc Thundering Fury)
Kazuha can hold 4pc Thundering Fury (4TF) in an Aggravate or Electro-Charged team as a quickswap DPS through multiple Skill uses per rotation. This playstyle is quite niche, so please read the Kazuha Extended Guide for more information.
On-Field DPS (Constellation 6)
Kazuha can be played as an on-field Anemo DPS at C6. Due to the Anemo Infusion on his Normal Attacks, he can attack on-field and trigger Swirl reactions. He can also play as a Plunging Attack DPS with 4pc Long Night’s Oath. This playstyle is quite niche and requires high team investment. It will not be covered in this quick guide.
Talents
Level and Talent Priority
Character Level > Burst > Normal Attack = Skill
Level 90 maximizes Kazuha’s damage through Swirls and other Elemental Reactions. However, as Kazuha has low contribution to team damage, reaching his final Ascension at Level 80/90 for the Elemental Mastery is typically sufficient.
Talents contribute about a third of Kazuha’s personal damage, so they have lower priority. While Kazuha’s Burst is a large portion of his personal damage, he cannot use it in certain Vape or Melt teams or skips it for shorter rotations.
Talent Overview
Normal Attack | Garyuu Bladework
Talent Description
Normal Attack
Performs up to 5 rapid strikes.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.
Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact. If this Plunging Attack is triggered by Chihayaburu, it will be converted to Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan.
Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan
When a Plunging Attack is performed using the effects of the Elemental Skill Chihayaburu, Plunging Attack DMG is converted to Anemo DMG and will create a small wind tunnel via a secret blade technique that pulls in nearby objects and opponents.
Kazuha’s Normal Attack Talent is just as useful as his other Talents despite his tendency to be played off-field, where he mostly relies on his Elemental Skill and Burst. Kazuha’s Anemo-converted Plunging Attack scales with his Plunging Attack Talent multiplier. Normal Attack Talent levels and Skill Talent levels offer Kazuha comparable damage gain.
Elemental Skill | Chihayaburu
Talent Description
Unleashes a secret technique as fierce as the rushing wind that pulls objects and opponents towards Kazuha’s current position before launching opponents within the AoE, dealing Anemo DMG and lifting Kazuha into the air on a rushing gust of wind.
Within 10s of remaining airborne after casting Chihayaburu, Kazuha can unleash a powerful Plunging Attack known as Midare Ranzan.
Press
Can be used in mid-air.
Hold
Charges up before unleashing greater Anemo DMG over a larger AoE than Press Mode.
Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan
When a Plunging Attack is performed using the effects of the Elemental Skill Chihayaburu, Plunging Attack DMG is converted to Anemo DMG. On landing, Kazuha creates a small wind tunnel via a secret blade technique that pulls in nearby objects and opponents.
Midare Ranzan’s DMG is considered Plunging Attack DMG.
Kazuha’s Elemental Skill is his main source of crowd control since it pulls enemies towards him. Using this Skill launches Kazuha into the air, letting him perform a Plunging Attack called Midare Ranzan. The launch also allows him to dodge certain enemy attacks.
Kazuha’s Elemental Skill can absorb an Element, allowing him to deal Elemental damage alongside Anemo damage. Absorption is distinct from the Element that Kazuha Swirls.
The Element absorbed follows Kazuha’s general Absorption priority:
Pyro > Hydro > Electro > Cryo
Kazuha’s Elemental Skill has two variants: Tap Skill (tE) and Hold Skill (hE). They have different cooldowns, animation duration, crowd control ability, damage, Elemental application, and particle generation.
Tap Skill
Hold Skill
- Weaker grouping AoE
- 6s cooldown
- Generates 3 Anemo Particles
- ~0.5s field time
- Slightly lower Talent scaling
- The difference is small when accounting for Swirl damage
- Stronger grouping AoE
- 9s cooldown
- Generates 4 Anemo Particles
- ~1s field time
- Slightly higher Talent scaling
- The difference is small when accounting for Swirl damage
Elemental Burst | Kazuha Slash
Talent Description
The signature technique of Kazuha’s self-styled bladework — a single slash that strikes with the force of the first winds of autumn, dealing AoE Anemo DMG. The blade’s passage will leave behind a field named “Autumn Whirlwind” that periodically deals AoE Anemo DMG to opponents within its range.
Elemental Absorption
If Autumn Whirlwind comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, it will deal additional elemental DMG of that type. Elemental Absorption may only occur once per use.
Kazuha’s Elemental Burst is an extremely important part of his kit and makes up the largest portion of his damage.
His Burst costs 60 Energy and creates a field that persists for 8s and can absorb an Element, dealing both Anemo and absorbed Elemental damage in a large AoE.
Its Absorption priority is the same as his Elemental Skill’s:
Pyro > Hydro > Electro > Cryo
Ascension 1 Passive | Soumon Swordsmanship
Talent Description
If Chihayaburu comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro when cast, Chihayaburu will absorb that element and if Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan is used before the effect expires, it will deal an additional 200% ATK of the absorbed elemental type as DMG. This will be considered Plunging Attack DMG.
Elemental Absorption may only occur once per use of Chihayaburu.
This Ascension Passive enables Kazuha’s Elemental Skill to absorb an Element and deal additional Elemental damage with his Plunging Attack, Midare Ranzan.
Ascension 4 Passive | Poetics of Fuubutsu
Talent Description
Upon triggering a Swirl or Stellar Swirl reaction, Kaedehara Kazuha will grant all party members a 0.04% Elemental DMG Bonus to the element absorbed by Swirl for every point of Elemental Mastery he has for 8s. Bonuses for different elements obtained through this method can co-exist.
Arguably the most important aspect of Kazuha’s kit. By Swirling an Element on a full EM build, Kazuha provides a substantial Elemental DMG Bonus to his teammates. Kazuha’s Burst also refreshes this passive, even if he is off-field.
Since the buff can co-exist for multiple Elements at the same time, some of Kazuha’s teams (notably those that utilize Vaporize and Melt reactions) have specific rotations to provide simultaneous Elemental DMG Bonuses for different Elements.
Utility Passive | Cloud Strider
Talent Description
Decreases sprinting Stamina consumption for your own party members by 20%.
Not stackable with Passive Talents that provide the exact same effects.
Kazuha’s Utility passive is fantastic for overworld exploration. In combat, the decreased Stamina consumption can be a nice quality-of-life upgrade for on-field DPS characters who rely on sprinting to dodge or utilize an aspect of their kit.
Constellations
Constellation 1 | Scarlet Hills
Constellation Description
Decreases Chihayaburu’s CD by 10%.
Using Kazuha Slash resets the CD of Chihayaburu.
Kazuha’s C1 can situationally allow him to build less ER and allocate more EM. However, one potential issue is that the additional Skill cast either lengthens a rotation or reduces field time for Kazuha’s teammates. This makes utilizing Kazuha’s first Constellation a DPS loss in some teams.
The additional Skill use also helps better group enemies in cases where enemies are too far apart to be grouped with one Skill use.
Constellation 2 | Yamaarashi Tailwind
Constellation Description
The Autumn Whirlwind field created by Kazuha Slash has the following effects:
- Increases Kaedehara Kazuha’s own Elemental Mastery by 200 for its duration.
- Increases the Elemental Mastery of characters within the field by 200.
The Elemental Mastery-increasing effects of this Constellation do not stack.
Kazuha’s second Constellation can be powerful in teams with an on-field DPS unit who appreciates EM. However, since the buff requires his Burst, it may not even activate in certain Vape or Melt teams where he must skip his Burst due to its ability to absorb and apply Pyro.
Not only does it allow him to compete with Sucrose for certain reaction-reliant units, but it also buffs his personal damage and increases his A4 Passive’s DMG% buff. The EM buff only applies to the on-field character, however, as opposed to the teamwide buffs that other characters like Sucrose provide.
It is recommended to stop at this Constellation unless going for C6.
Constellation 3 | Maple Monogatari
Constellation Description
Increases the Level of Chihayaburu by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
This Constellation increases the damage on Kazuha’s Elemental Skill; however, it has low value since only a third of his damage comes from Talents.
Constellation 4 | Oozora Genpou
Constellation Description
When Kaedehara Kazuha’s Energy is lower than 45, he obtains the following effects:
- (Pressing/Tapping) or Holding Chihayaburu regenerates 3 or 4 Energy for Kaedehara Kazuha, respectively.
- When gliding, Kaedehara Kazuha regenerates 2 Energy per second.
The first part of this Constellation can be used in conjunction with Kazuha’s first Constellation to grant him a large amount of Energy at once. This allows him to run even less Energy Recharge in exchange for more damage-focused stats.
While the gliding effect of Kazuha’s fourth Constellation has little practical use in combat, it can actually be useful outside of combat. The Spiral Abyss has a small slanted pillar that Kazuha can jump off to glide, which allows him to (slowly) recharge Energy in between Abyss floors.
The gliding ability is also useful in the overworld, where Kazuha glides to travel between locations frequently.
Constellation 5 | Wisdom of Bansei
Constellation Description
Increases the Level of Kazuha Slash by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
This Constellation is better than Kazuha’s C3 since the largest part of his Talent damage comes from his Elemental Burst.
Players should only try to get this Constellation if they’re going for C6.
Constellation 6 | Crimson Momiji
Constellation Description
After using Chihayaburu or Kazuha Slash, Kaedehara Kazuha gains an Anemo Infusion for 5s. Additionally, each point of Elemental Mastery will increase the DMG dealt by Kaedehara Kazuha’s Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks by 0.2%.
Kazuha’s C6 opens up an additional on-field DPS playstyle. He can still be played as an off-field DPS at C6, just with significantly higher damage. Read the Kazuha Extended Guide for more information on his C6 playstyles.
Artifacts
ER Requirements
Calcs for ER requirements can be found here (last updated for Version 7.1).
In many teams, Kazuha can forgo using his Burst completely as it can unnecessarily extend rotations or interfere with reactions like Vape or Melt. However, Kazuha should build enough ER to use his Burst every rotation in teams that enjoy his Burst’s Elemental application and Swirl damage or require it for a certain 4pc VV setup.
While Sacrificial Sword or Kazuha’s C1 can situationally allow him an additional Skill cast to gain more Anemo particles, many teams prefer that he keep rotations short. Instead, you should use Favonius Sword or Xiphos’ Moonlight if possible to help meet Kazuha’s ER requirements.
Assumptions:
- Default enemy HP particles.
- Safe particle RNG.
- Rotation duration varies depending on the team.
- Kazuha catches or feeds particles when appropriate.
- “2 Skills” is either tEP + hEP or tEP + tEP.
- “Favonius” assumes 1 Favonius Sword passive proc every Skill cast.
- “Sacrificial or C1” assumes an additional tEP every rotation whose particles Kazuha does not catch.
- “+2 Anemo” assumes C6 Faruzan holding Favonius Warbow and an on-field Anemo DPS unit.
- Teams where Kazuha should not use his Burst are not included.
| Solo Anemo | Other Sword | Favonius | Sacrificial or C1 |
| 1 Hold Skill | 220–280% | 180–220% | 180–220% |
| 2 Skills | 160–200% | 125–150% | 135–165% |
| 2 Skills, +2 Anemo | 145–150% | 115–120% | 125–130% |
Use the Energy Recharge Calculator to determine exact requirements for your team and rotation. For more details on how Favonius weapons will affect your team, please use Ac1d’s Favonius Mastersheet.
Artifact Stats
![]() Sands | ![]() Goblet | ![]() Circlet |
| EM or ER | EM | EM |
Stat Priority: (ER until requirement) > EM >> ATK% = CRIT
Kazuha does not always need to build ER to use his Burst since it can interfere with Melt and Vape reactions or unnecessarily extend rotation length.
- EM Sands: Run an EM Sands with Xiphos’ Moonlight, Favonius Sword, Sacrificial Sword, or other Swords with an ER secondary stat.
- ER Sands: Run an ER Sands with Iron Sting, Toukabou Shigure, or other Swords, unless you can meet ER requirements through substats alone.
On Favonius Sword, Kazuha benefits from CRIT Rate. However, he generally doesn’t need more than 20% CRIT Rate to consistently trigger its particle generation passive.
Artifact Sets
DPS playstyles with 4pc Thundering Fury, 4pc Desert Pavilion Chronicle, or 4pc Long Night’s Oath are not covered in this quick guide.
Hover over artifact images for more information.
![]() 4pc Viridescent Venerer (4VV) | 4pc Viridescent Venerer (4VV) is the artifact set that Kazuha uses in almost all of his teams. Not only does it allow him to shred enemy Elemental RES to buff his team members, but it also boosts his personal damage by buffing Swirl and Anemo damage. |
Weapons
Hover over weapon images for more information.
![]() 5★ Freedom-Sworn | Freedom-Sworn almost always outperforms other options, although Xiphos’ Moonlight can perform better when Kazuha’s teammates don’t benefit from Freedom-Sworn’s buffs. If Kazuha can reach ER thresholds and has teammates who benefit from Freedom-Sworn’s buff, then it’s a good idea to use the weapon. Otherwise, Xiphos or Favonius may be a better choice. |
![]() 4★ Xiphos’ Moonlight | Xiphos’ Moonlight is one of Kazuha’s top 4-star choices and arguably Kazuha’s best weapon at high refinements. This weapon performs well even at R1. An ER Sands is usually unnecessary due to its passive, so Kazuha should use an EM Sands. While higher refinements make it stronger, an R1 Xiphos’ with sufficient ER substats on artifacts is competitive with Favonius Sword. |
![]() 4★ Favonius Sword | Favonius Sword is the recommended weapon for teams where Kazuha or other party members have high ER requirements. Favonius Sword benefits the entire team while still allowing you to build a lot of EM. You only need about 20% CRIT Rate to consistently trigger its passive. |
![]() ![]() ![]() 4★ Emberwell, Iron Sting, Toukabou Shigure | Kazuha’s most recommended free-to-play weapons at low ER requirements. Emberwell and Iron Sting are not worth refining. Despite the small difference in performance in single-target and AoE scenarios, they perform practically the same. Nonetheless, Toukabou Shigure does match Kazuha’s outfit and doesn’t require a billet unlike Emberwell and Iron Sting. |
![]() 4★ Fleuve Cendre Ferryman | Fleuve Cendre Ferryman is Kazuha’s best easily accessible Sword when you cannot reach ER requirements from substats alone. If you already possess a high refinement Favonius Sword, then you should still use that since its teamwide Energy generation is better. |
![]() 4★ Serenity’s Call | Serenity’s Call is another craftable option that performs just slightly worse than Fleuve Cendre Ferryman. If you’d rather forge instead of fish, then this is a fine option. |
![]() 4★ Sacrificial Sword | Sacrificial Sword allows Kazuha to cast another Skill, which increases his personal DPS, lowers his ER requirements, and provides him another opportunity to group enemies. The additional Skill use affects rotation time and buff uptime, so it should be used with care. Sacrificial Sword is a nice alternative if you cannot use Favonius Sword. |
![]() 3★ Dark Iron Sword | Dark Iron Sword is a solid free-to-play option if you cannot craft either Emberwell or Iron Sting or if you didn’t get Toukabou Shigure. Dark Iron Sword is available from Chen the Sharp in Liyue Harbor near the Waypoint in the south of the city. |
![]() 5★ CRIT Swords | Kazuha typically does not deal enough personal damage in teams to warrant using 5-star CRIT Swords. However, on an ADC build in a Triple Anemo team or team where Kazuha acts as a Plunging Attack DPS, these can be worthwhile options. Otherwise, stick with an EM secondary stat Sword. |
Teams
This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level. For more teams and archetypes, please read the Kazuha Extended Guide.

Vape & Melt

Kazuha provides valuable RES Shred and DMG% buffs to Vape and Melt DPS units. His Skill has a short cooldown for on-demand buffing via Swirl and grouping with his Hold Skill. In multi-target scenarios, he can employ Double Swirl setups in certain teams. Kazuha’s Burst can interfere with Vape and Melt reactions as it prioritizes Pyro, so it is often skipped in these teams. Even if you have C2 Kazuha, his Burst is likely still a DPS loss in such teams.
While Kazuha can technically work in Reverse Melt teams with Cryo DPS units who trigger Melt off a Pyro aura, such teams are rare and may require exacting rotations with subpar payoff. Burnmelt teams with Kazuha are also cumbersome and he can rarely trigger a Cryo Swirl. If you are interested in such teams, please read the Kazuha Extended Guide.
Notable Teammates
Vape DPS
Forward Vape is when a Hydro unit triggers Vaporize off of a Pyro aura. Reverse Vape is when a Pyro unit triggers Vape off of a Hydro aura. Kauzha supports both archetypes with his A4 Passive and 4pc VV RES Shred. In some teams, he skips his Burst to save time or prevent it from interfering with Vape ownership.
Arlecchino | Kazuha is a valuable teammate to Arlecchino in her Vape, Melt, and Mono Pyro teams. His short cooldowns fit her quick rotations. |
Hu Tao | Hu Tao appreciates Kazuha’s Pyro buffs and Hydro-absorbed Burst. However, it can be difficult to consistently perform Double Swirl setups and stay alive depending on the Pyro support. In teams without a Pyro support, like Double Hydro, Hu Tao does not benefit much from Kazuha since he cannot reliably buff Pyro; however, teammates like Yelan and Xingqiu do appreciate his Hydro buffs. |
![]() Mualani | While C0 Kazuha is typically a downgrade from Prune or Sucrose in teams with Mualani, he is still a fine option if neither 4-star is available. Mualani appreciates Kazuha’s buffs, on-demand grouping, and supplemental Pyro application with his Burst. Mualani also appreciates Kazuha’s C2 EM buff. |
Melt DPS
Forward Melt DPS units trigger Melt off of a sustained Cryo aura. Kazuha cannot sustain a Cryo aura himself with his Cryo-absorbed Burst or even achieve a Cryo-absorbed Burst, so an off-field Cryo applier like Citlali or Rosaria is required.
Mavuika | Mavuika appreciates Kazuha’s short cooldowns, grouping, and Pyro buffs. |
Gaming | Gaming can make use of Kazuha’s Cryo-absorbed Burst to get more consistent Melts. However, Cryo has the lowest absorption priority, so achieving both Cryo Absorption and a Pyro Swirl in the same rotation can be difficult and require careful setups. |
Hydro Vape Enabler
These characters enable a consistent Hydro aura for a Pyro DPS to trigger Reverse Vape. In some teams, Kazuha avoids using his Burst since it prioritizes Pyro, which interferes with Vape reactions.
Yelan | Yelan and Kazuha work well together in Reverse Vape teams as they reliably maintain the Hydro aura. Kazuha’s Hydro-absorbed Burst can supplement the gaps in her application, especially in single-target scenarios. Their short cooldowns can also enable an 18s rotation. Note that Yelan can make Double Swirl setups easier than Xingqiu since she doesn’t have orbitals. Rotations where you Swirl both Hydro and Pyro are usually simple. |
![]() Xingqiu | Xingqiu is a great option for off-field Hydro enabler in Reverse Vape teams, but even at C6 his Hydro application is not strong enough to maintain Hydro aura on enemies if Kazuha’s Burst is absorbed with Pyro. However, some rotations allow Kazuha to absorb Hydro into his Burst. Double Swirl setups with Xingqiu and Kazuha are often highly technical or impossible due to Xingqiu’s Skill Rainsword orbitals. In multi-target scenarios, they become much easier. Note that Xingqiu’s damage reduction does not increase with Kazuha’s A4 buff. |
![]() Furina | Most teams with Furina require a healer; however, teams with Neuvillette are fine without one thanks to their own HP mechanics. Furina’s Hydro application and DMG% buff makes her a good unit to bring along in Reverse Vape teams. For teams that require a healer, Bennett is usually the go-to option. |
![]() On-Field Hydro | Ayato, Kokomi, Mona, Neuvillette, Tartaglia These on-field Hydro units appreciate Kazuha’s Hydro buffs in Vape teams. They pair well with off-field or quickswap Pyro Vape DPS units like Durin, Xiangling, Mavuika, or Pyro Traveler. Since Kazuha’s Burst prioritizes Pyro, he can choose to use it or not to allow the Hydro enabler to own more Vapes. |
Cryo Melt Enabler
These characters enable a consistent Cryo aura for a Pyro DPS to trigger Forward Melt. In some teams, Kazuha avoids using his Burst since it prioritizes Pyro, which interferes with Melt reactions.
![]() Citlali | Kazuha and Citlali form a strong RES Shred core for Hydro and Pyro Melt DPS units. Citlali provides very strong Cryo application with her Skill and Burst and a shield that the on-fielder appreciates. |
Lohen | Lohen is a great Hexerei Melt enabler for Durin. While Sucrose and Prune are free Anemo supports, Kazuha is still a competitive option. |
Pyro Support
These characters provide Pyro Resonance, Pyro application for 4pc VV setups, defensive utility, and buffs to the Vape or Melt DPS.
![]() Bennett | Bennett is an incredible Pyro unit, capable of providing healing, a Flat ATK buff, and strong Pyro application. He is an important support for ATK-scaling Vape and Melt DPS units. To take full advantage of his buffs, you must consistently stay within his Burst AoE, which means Kazuha can be valuable to group enemies closer. Kazuha snapshots Bennett’s Flat ATK buff into his Burst, leading to higher personal damage. In Reverse Vape teams, his self-applied Pyro aura from his Burst requires specific setups so Kazuha can Swirl both Hydro and Pyro. |
Nicole | Nicole provides a teamwide ATK buff and shield. In teams with another Hexerei unit, she can hold 4pc Celestial Gift to provide further buffs. While her ATK buff is lower than Bennett’s, she does not suffer from “Circle Impact”. |
These characters provide off-field Pyro application for a Hydro Forward Vape DPS unit like Mualani.
Example Teams
This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

These are strong teams for Vape or Melt Arlecchino. Bennett’s most optimal artifact set with Yelan is 4pc Instructor, and Yelan’s recommended set is 4pc Noblesse. However, running 4pc Noblesse on Bennett and 4pc ESF on Yelan is fine. Bennett should hold 4pc Noblesse with Citlali.
Citlali holds 4pc Scroll. Citlali’s ER requirements are high in this team, so she can use Sacrificial Fragments, Prototype Amber, or Favonius Codex to help.
Sample Rotation (Yelan)
Arlecchino E > (Bennett E)¹ > Yelan EQ N1 > Bennett Q N1 > Kazuha N1 hEP > Arlecchino combo
¹Skip first rotation.
Sample Rotation (Citlali)
Arlecchino E > Bennett EQ > Kazuha hEP > Citlali EQ > Arlecchino combo

This is a strong Mualani team. Kazuha skips his Burst for more efficient rotations. Mona becomes even better with her C1 and C4.
Sample Rotation
Mona E > Mavuika Q E > Mona Q N1 > Kazuha tEP > Mualani combo > Kazuha tEP N1¹
¹Kazuha fills rotation downtime when Mualani does not use her Burst.

Mavuika and Gaming are potent on-field Melt DPS units. Citlali provides strong Cryo application, Pyro RES Shred, and TTDS. Kazuha avoids using his Burst since it absorbs Pyro and interferes with Melts.
Sample Rotation (Mavuika)
Mavuika E > Bennett EQ > Kazuha tEP > Citlali EQ > Mavuika Q combo
Sample Rotation (Gaming)
Gaming EP > Bennett EQ > Kazuha tEP > Citlali EQ > Gaming 5–6[EP]

This is one of Childe’s tried and true Vape teams; however, it may not be able to clear more difficult end-game content. Childe provides on-field Hydro application for Xiangling to Vape with her Burst. Kazuha can achieve a Double Swirl in multi-target enemy scenarios.
The ideal rotation depends on the enemy scenario’s DPS window, but the rotation below is the standard template. There is some downtime with Childe’s Skill cooldown where the team generates Elemental Particles to reduce their ER requirements.
Sample Rotation
First Rotation
Childe E > Bennett Q¹ > Kazuha Q tEP¹ (N1) > Xiangling Q E > Childe Q E combo > Downtime
¹For Double Swirl in multi-target, Childe’s Skill cast must make contact with at least one enemy, and Bennett’s Burst must hit at least one different enemy.
Downtime²
Bennett E > Xiangling (N2 / E) > Kazuha tEP / Childe C > Second Rotation
²Repeat this sequence until Xiangling’s Burst is almost full (usually 2–3 times).
Subsequent Rotations
Childe C³ > Xiangling E > Kazuha hEP Q (N1) > Bennett Q E > Xiangling Q > Childe Q E combo > Downtime
³Childe’s Charged Shot must hit an enemy marked with Riptide or without a pre-existing Pyro aura. This rotation is also used for subsequent rotations if necessary.
Limited Roster Alternatives
These teams are meant for newer players whose limited roster prevents them from using the teams above; as such, the teams below result in lower damage output.

This is a fine Vape team with Xingqiu and Xiangling triggering Vape off each other’s Elemental application. The rotation below provides Double Swirl to buff both of them. Afterwards, you can on-field with Xingqiu within Bennett’s Burst and you can battery Xiangling with Bennett’s Skill afterward. Try to fit 2 Kazuha Skill’s per Burst to reduce his ER requirements.
Sample Rotation (Single-Target Setup)
Xingqiu ED Q > Kazuha Q > Bennett EQ > Kazuha hEP > Xiangling Q E
Sample Rotation (Multi-Target Setup)
Bennett EQ > Kazuha tEP > Xiangling Q E > Xingqiu ED Q > Kazuha Q¹
¹Use Kazuha’s Burst outside of Bennett’s Burst AoE
Lunar-Charged & Electro-Charged

Kazuha provides valuable Electro and Hydro RES Shred in Lunar-Charged and Electro-Charged teams. The latter are typically not sufficient to clear end-game content unless the on-field DPS is Clorinde or Neuvillette.
Kazuha’s Burst provides supplemental Hydro application and his personal EM stats contribute to Electro-Charged damage in addition to his Electro and Hydro Swirls. His A4 Passive DMG% buff is important for Electro or Hydro DPS units like Clorinde or Neuvillette. His C2 is a good EM boost to the on-fielder in Lunar-Charged teams if you have it.
Flins, Ineffa, or Columbina are required to enable Lunar-Charged, and ideally they play together in some combination.
Notable Teammates
Electro
Ineffa | Ineffa enables Lunar-Charged, deals strong off-field damage, and grants a comfy shield. She should hold 4pc Aubade and a DPS-oriented Polearm. |
![]() Fischl | Fischl is a nice alternative to Ineffa, or she can team up with her if Columbina is unavailable. She provides solid personal damage and amazing Electro application thanks to her A4 Passive. With another Hexerei Character and her C6, she provides an EM buff to the active character. |
![]() Flins | Flins is the premier on-field Lunar-Charged DPS. While he prefers teammates who provide ATK% and EM buffs, Kazuha’s Electro RES Shred is still sufficient. Kazuha’s A4 Passive Electro DMG% buff is a minor DPS increase, while his C2 EM buff is a sizable upgrade. Despite this, if Sucrose or Xilonen are available, they are better options. |
![]() Clorinde | Clorinde appreciates Kazuha in her Electro-Charged and Lunar-Charged teams. His short cooldowns fit nicely into her short rotations or double rotations. |
Hydro
Columbina | Columbina enables Lunar-Charged, buffs Lunar-Charged damage, deals strong off-field damage, and can provide additional utility with a support Catalyst. She should hold 4pc SMS. |
Aino | Aino is a free-to-play alternative to Columbina for her Hydro application, Lunar-Charged buffs, and ability to hold 4pc SMS. |
![]() Mona | Mona is a fine off-field support in Electro-Charged and Lunar-Charged teams with Fischl. They enable each others’ Hexerei buffs and allow Mona to hold 4pc Celestial Gift. Mona can also act as an on-field Hydro applier and reaction driver, although other Hydro options tend to be better in this regard. |
Example Teams
This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

While Kazuha is not the best-in-slot teammate for Flins’s teams, he still provides great grouping, Electro and Hydro RES Shred, and a small buff to Flins’s personal Electro damage.
If you have it, Kazuha’s C2 is a solid buff to Flins’s direct Lunar-Charged damage and share of Lunar-Charged reaction damage.
Sample Rotation (Columbina)
Ineffa E (Q)¹ > Columbina (Q)¹ E > Kazuha tEP > Flins combo > Kazuha tEP
¹Alternate between their Bursts. Do not cast Ineffa’s Burst in the first rotation. Use Columbina’s Burst after her Skill in the first rotation.
²Use Burst when available.
Sample Rotation (Aino)
Ineffa E (Q)¹ > Aino EQ > Kazuha hEPQ > Flins combo
¹Use Burst when available.

Neuvillette appreciates Kazuha’s buffs for his Hydro damage. Columbina provides strong personal damage via Lunar-Charged, while Furina provides DMG% buffs to Neuvillette.
Sample Rotation (Columbina)
Neuvillette E N1 > Columbina E Q > Ineffa E > Kazuha tEPQ > Neuvillette C E C Q > Ineffa (Q)¹ > Kazuha tEP > Neuvillette 2[C}
¹Use Burst when available.
Sample Rotation (Furina)
Neuvillette E > Furina ED > Ineffa E > Kazuha tEPQ > Furina Q > Neuvillette C E C Q > Kazuha tEP > Neuvillette 2[C]

This team runs a double rotation where Kazuha uses his Burst once every two times Clorinde uses his Skill combo. Kazuha and Furina alternate using their Bursts.
Sample Rotation
First Rotation – Furina Burst
Furina ED Q > Fischl Q > Kazuha tEP > Clorinde E combo > Kazuha tEP > Clorinde Q
Second Rotation – Kazuha Burst
Kazuha Q > Fischl E > Kazuha tEP > Clorinde E combo > Kazuha tEP > Clorinde Q
Limited Roster Alternatives
These teams are meant for newer players whose limited roster prevents them from using the teams above; as such, the teams below result in lower damage output.

This Electro-Charged team should weave in Normal Attacks to proc Xingqiu’s Burst and Beidou’s Burst.
Sample Rotation
Fischl E > Xingqiu Q N2 > Kazuha N1 tEP N1 > Beidou N1 EQ N1 > Kazuha N1 Q N1 tEP N2 > Fischl N2 Q > Beidou N1 E N2 > Kazuha N1 tEP N1 > Xingqiu N1 ED N3 > Beidou N1 E > Kazuha N1 tEP
Aggravate

Kazuha is a fine Anemo option for Aggravate teams. While Kazuha does not buff Dendro units (unless at C2), his Electro DMG buff and 4VV Electro RES Shred significantly increase the DPS of his Electro teammates. His C2 is a nice buff to the on-fielder since Aggravate scales with EM.
His short Skill and Burst cooldowns permit quicker rotations, and their Electro-absorbed damage and Electro Swirls trigger Aggravate to increase Kazuha’s share of team damage. Kazuha is best used in multi-target scenarios because his Swirl damage takes a hit in single-target.
Notable Teammates
Electro
Electro characters trigger Aggravate when they apply Electro to a Quicken aura. A high rate of Electro application results in more Aggravate reactions.
![]() Fischl | Fischl is an extremely strong Electro option in Kazuha’s teams due to her personal damage and high rate of Electro application with her A4 Passive and potentially C6. She also helps battery the team with her particle generation. Fischl’s unique Skill cooldowns and Burst refresh means that she has three primary rotation lengths with Kazuha. 1. A 15s rotation is used if every character on the team can fit that rotation window. Fischl can alternate Skill and Burst uses in these rotations. 2. A 20s rotation is used with on-field DPS units who have a 20s Burst cooldown. There is usually downtime with Oz in these rotations. 3. A 25s rotation is used primarily with Keqing or 4pc TF Clorinde due to their Skill cooldowns. This rotation allows for maximal Oz uptime and lowers Kazuha’s ER requirements. |
![]() Clorinde | Clorinde is a great on-field Electro DPS in Aggravate teams thanks to her high rate of Electro application via her Skill. While she can hold 4pc Whimsy, in many teams it can be advantageous for her to hold 4pc Thundering Fury instead. This set allows Clorinde to be used in ~25s rotations, which is especially useful for maximizing Fischl’s Oz uptime, as opposed to 16/32s rotations where Oz uptime is only around 75%. |
![]() Keqing | Keqing offers high personal damage due to her frequent Aggravate procs. She can use 4pc Thundering Fury well. Her low Skill and Burst cooldowns align well with Kazuha’s cooldowns, allowing for a 15s or 25s rotation. |
Dendro
Dendro teammates enable Aggravate. Since the team’s primary source of damage is Electro damage and Aggravate, 4pc Deepwood Memories is not recommended. Instead, Dendro support should hold 4pc Scroll, 4pc Instructor, 4pc Noblesse, etc.
Kirara | Kirara’s short cooldowns on her Skill and Burst make her a great fit in Aggravate teams with Kazuha. However, she has poor off-field Dendro application before C4.Kirara typically holds 4pc Scroll, 4pc Instructor, or 4pc Noblesse. |
![]() Yaoyao | Yaoyao is a good healer option in Kazuha’s teams due to her 15s Skill cooldown and pseudo-random AoE Dendro application. In teams with 20s rotations, she can use her Burst to apply more Dendro without extending the rotation. |
![]() Baizhu | Baizhu is a good defensive option in Kazuha’s Aggravate teams. His A4 Passive buffs the on-fielder’s Aggravate damage. However, his 20s Burst cooldown can make him a suboptimal choice when you can play without his defensive utility or if Kirara is available instead. He also faces Dendro application issues in multi-target scenarios. He typically holds 4pc Scroll or 4pc Noblesse. |
Nahida | Nahida has strong Dendro application, so a fast Electro applier like Fischl is necessary for Kazuha to consistently Swirl Electro. Her 5–6s Skill cooldown and 13.5s Burst cooldown let her slot into quicker Aggravate teams as long as the team can survive without defensive utility. A strong Electro applier like Fischl is necessary for Kazuha to have consistent Electro Swirls. |
Example Teams
This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

This Aggravate team employs the Dendro off-fielder as a shielder to prevent Clorinde from becoming staggered. 4pc Thundering Fury results in shorter rotations and higher average DPS than 4pc Whimsy. The Dendro character can hold either 4pc Scroll or 4pc Instructor.
Sample Rotation (Baizhu — 4pc TF)
Fischl Q > Kazuha Q > Baizhu EQ > Clorinde E combo > Fischl E N1 > Kazuha tEP > Baizhu E N1 > Clorinde E combo > Kazuha tEP
Sample Rotation (Kirara — 4pc TF)
Fischl Q > Kirara shE > Kazuha Q > Clorinde E combo > Kirara shE > Fischl N1 E > Kazuha tEP > Clorinde E combo > Kazuha tEP

This is a fantastic Aggravate team for Keqing. Kirara provides a valuable shield and her short cooldowns allow a faster rotation.
Sample Rotation
Keqing 2[E]¹ > Kazuha hEP Q > Fischl Q > Kirara (Q)² shE > Keqing combo > Kazuha tEP > Fischl E > Kirara shE > Keqing combo
¹First rotation only
²If Kirara holds 4pc Noblesse Oblige.
Limited Roster Alternatives
These teams are meant for newer players whose limited roster prevents them from using the teams above; as such, the teams below result in lower damage output.

This is a solid Lisa main DPS team with all free-to-play characters except Kazuha. Yaoyao or Kirara provides Dendro application to enable Aggravate and defensive utility in the form of healing or shielding, respectively.
Sample Rotation (Yaoyao)
Lisa tE¹ > Yaoyao N2E > Kazuha tEPQ > Fischl E > Lisa tEQ (tE/N1) C > Kazuha tEP > Lisa h3E N2C > Fischl Q > Yaoyao N2E > Kazuha tEPQ > Lisa N2C N2 > Kazuha tEP > Lisa N2C
¹First rotation only.
Sample Rotation (Kirara)
Lisa tE¹ > Kazuha hEPQ > Fischl E/Q > Kirara shE > Lisa (tE/N1) Q (tE/N1) C > Kazuha tEP > Kirara shEQ > Fischl Q/E > Lisa tE h3E 2[N2C]
¹First rotation only.
Mono Element & Hypercarry

Mono Element (Pyro | Hydro | Electro | Cryo) teams use synergies between characters of the same Element, as well as Anemo and Geo buffers. Hypercarry teams are a related archetype that opt for multiple supports to funnel a single Elemental DPS unit.
Kazuha is uniquely poised to buff these teams through his Ascension 4 Passive’s Elemental DMG% buff. Additionally, because these teams use units of the same Element, characters enjoy lower ER requirements than usual. Generally, Kazuha’s Mono Element teams have an on-field Elemental DPS, off-field Elemental unit, and an off-field unit that is of the same Element, Geo, or Anemo.
Example Teams
This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level.

This is one of Neuvillette’s strongest hypercarry teams regardless of investment. The team centers entirely around maximizing his damage; Furina provides plenty of DMG Bonus, HP% through Hydro Resonance, personal damage, and particle generation.
Xilonen provides long-duration RES Shred, faster Fanfare stacking, and 4pc Scroll’s full DMG Bonus. She ideally holds Favonius Sword.
Sample Rotation
Neuvillette E > Furina ED > Xilonen EQ N2 > Kazuha tEPQ > Furina Q > Neuvillette C E C Q > Xilonen E N2 > Kazuha tEP > Neuvillette 2[C]

Arlecchino is a great Mono Pyro DPS. Durin and Nicole / Bennett provide fantastic buffs that complement those from Kazuha. Nicole notably provides a comfy shield.
Kazuha uses his Burst every other rotation; he does not need to build ER if he holds Favonius Sword or Xiphos’ Moonlight.
Sample Rotation (Nicole)
Nicole EQ > Arlecchino E > Durin EQE > Kazuha Q¹ / tEP > Arlecchino combo > Kazuha tEP > Arlecchino N3D N3
¹Use Burst when available.
Sample Rotation (Bennett)
Arlecchino E > Durin EQE > Bennett EQ > Kazuha Q¹ / tEP > Arlecchino combo > Kazuha tEP > Arlecchino N3D N3
¹Use Burst when available.

This is a usable Lyney Mono Pyro team. Bennett is ideal for quicker rotations and easy healing, but Lyney does suffer from “Circle Impact” without a shielder. Nicole provides a highly valuable shield, but she needs to hold Prototype Amber so Lyney can fully stack 4pc Marechaussee Hunter.
Kazuha must use his Burst every rotation to maintain uptime on Durin’s RES Shred. As such, he should hold Favonius Sword or Xiphos’ Moonlight to manage his high ER requirements.
Sample Rotation (Bennett)
Durin EQE > Bennett EQ > Kazuha hEP Q > Lyney combo > (Kazuha tEP)¹
¹Kazuha can slightly extend rotations to fit in a second Skill cast.
Sample Rotation (Nicole)
Nicole EQ > Durin EQE > Kazuha hEP Q > Lyney combo > (Kazuha tEP)¹
¹Kazuha can slightly extend rotations to fit in a second Skill cast.
